MR HOOVER’S DEPICTION. REFUTAL OF BOLSHEVIST ' SUGGESTIONS. Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, May 15. (Received May 16, at 9.10 p.m.) Mr Hoover, addressing the International Chamber of Commerce, answered the Bolshevist charge that the attitude of the United States towards Russia is dictated by American trusts anxious to re-, obtain property in Russia, by pointing out that the whole value of American property there is less than the money spent by America in charity in Russia. He declared that Russia was dying and could not be restored until production anct foreign confidence returned.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
