Sergeant J. Dougan, who was recently transferred from Port Chalmers, to St. Albans (Christchurch), is at present on ■ a visit to Dunedin.A very interesting evening was spent at Kolsey-Yaralla Kindergarten Mothers’ Club on Tuesday, when a good mtmber of mothers met. to hear Mrs Balfour give what she -termed one of her “Mothers’ Talks.” During the evening a presentation was made to Miss Golrlsm-th on behalf of the committee in consideration of her past work at Yaralla. Miss Goldsmith suitably responded, and a very pleasant evening was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem A Press Association cable message from Lohdon announces that Lord Balfour’s title .will be Earl of Balfour.- The second will be Viscount Tiaprain of Whittinghame.
