- GENERAL MANAGER APPOINTED. (Pan United' Paces AssoctATiow l WELLINGTON, May .3. It is unofficially reported that Mr Fraser, of Hawke’s 'who was formerly in charge of the stock department of Messrs Nelson Bros.’ Tomoana works, has been appointed general manager of the meat pool. APPOINTMENT CONFIRMED. HASTINGS, May 3. Mr John Fraser conurms his reported appointment as manager of the Meat Pool Board. Mr Fraser was educated at Napier, and entered the employment /of Messrs Nelson Bros. (Ltd.) in 1892. He graduated through the works and the general offices at Tomoana, finally occupying the position of superintendent of the live stock department, and general assistant to Mr William Nelson in the management of the works. On the retirement of Mr Nelson from Tomoana Mr Fraser resigned his jposition. and became assistant to Mr William Richmond in his frozen meat business. He is well known to the -farming community in Hawke’s' Bay.
