DUNEDIN BOWLING CENTRE
The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Rowling Centre was held last night ; present—Messrs I. A. Peters (president, in the rhair). W. Jacobsen, W. G. Hnv W Wright, A. M‘Kenzie, W. Piddingt'on, F. .1. Campbell, and W. Connor. ’ After n conversational discussion it was decided (hat at any centre function/ no collection shall be taken up oil any green unless authorised ,by the centre. Samples of badges for members of the executive were submitted and one was chosen, it being resolved to order 25. The Town Clerk, Dunedin, wrote in reply to a letter from the centre asking for the remission of rates on bowling greens, stating that the matter had been decided before the receipt of the letter. The council had resolved not to make any alteration in the present system, as it would involve either an invidious distinction or a heavy loss of revenue. —Received. Bty Clutha Mackenzie, M.P., wrote suggartmg that the centre should make some effort to raise funds in aid of the Sir Arthur Pearson fund for the instruction of blind persons.—Received.
