The Cattle Council has completed an arrangerqent in the terms of Mr Hughes’ offer to subsidise the beef industry, all , parties having agreed to specified proper- ■ tionate reductions. The estimated dressed - weight is 195,000,0001 b of exportable beef, and the exportable proportion is 81 per cent.
