PRINCESS THEATRE

FOUR NEW ACTS,

The Harem Scarem Girls, who arrived from London a few weeks ago under starring engagement with the Fuller firm, will make their debut at the Princess Theatre this evening. “Their daring agility and imperviousness to injury command the closest attention and respect,” says an Australian journal. “Their acrobatic work is clever, but it is the comedy antics and gay irresponsibility of the girls that constitute the crowning merit of the duo. The 'Harem Scarem Girls have just concluded a starring engagement in panjtomim© in London, scoring heavily as the Ugly Sisters in “Cinedrella.” The act which they will offer to-night is entitled “A Nursery Night mare.” An equally important premiere is that of Effie Fellowes, “Australia’s perfect boy.” Miss Fellowes has just returned after a world’s tour embracing America, Africa, India and Great Britain. She is a chit of a girl whose pranks have brought her fame and fortune. In Sydney she walked (*ie streets in boy’s attire and completely deceived the policemen on the beat with whom she engaged in conversation. She is a splendid male impersonator, and her turn will be one of the features of the big bill to-night. l The other incoming acts are Frank and ■Gladys Alber, English entertainers; Newman and Wynne, a clever pair of London sketch artists; and the ventriloquist. Victor the Great. The “stop-overs,” all of whom will present new offerings, are the charminc vocalists Reresford and Rennie, the Two Nichols, and Hartley and Wright.
