HARRIERS.

The Cargill Road Methodist harriers held their weekly run from the St. Clair baths.' The pack quickly made their way round second beach and up a steep incline to Cargill’s Castle, and from there down to tHe caves. The trail then led towards Gre-*n Island Beach, where the pack cut across a paddock and followed the road that 'led past the golf links and down by Allendale road to the tram terminus,. From there a fust sprint home resulted, D. Ashby finishing first with the rest close behind. The St. Hilda harriers ran from the St. Clair Baths. The trail led over the pactdocks at the back of Cargill’s Castle, to Caversbam, and thence along Forbnry road. A stiff run home completed the outing. The Pacific harriers had a very enjoyable run from the George Street School. The paper was in charge of J. J. Grey and H. Brown, and the trail led up through the Woodhjugh Gardens following the track to the reservoir, along the slopes of Flagstaff, where plenty of bush and water were met, several runners coming to grief in the latter. The trail crossed the Leith Valley road, near the school on to Pine Hill, where a good climb brought the runners to the road whion comes out at the paper mills. A fast run home saw Hobbs, A. Grey, M'Lean, and Morrison lead the rest of the pack. The weekly run of the Caversham Club was held at Mornington, where the pack, under the whistle of Captain Philips and Deputy-captain Ashhv, followed an excellent trail across the Kaikorai road. Mount Grand, and back to Mornington. The run finished by, a fast sprint along the top of the hill, A. G. Ahen and W. Gibb being most prominent. The St. Patrick’s Harriers ran on Saturday ns the guests of Mrs and Miss h. Horan. St. Hilda. The paper was distributed by MTlroy and Hanrnhan, who were successful in laying a fine trail. The pack, under the whistle of Captain Morris, followed the trail, which led along Bay 'View road, round the Anderson's Ray road to Waverley, where it made a break for the country in the vicinity of Tomahawk. The homeward run led along the Tomahawk road and back to Bav View road, where the members participated hi a brisk run home, in which Drummond and Morris were prominent. Taking advantage of the excellent weather 55 members of the Dunedin Anglican Harriers turned out to d>e run from the Bungalow Tea Rooms. The hares (Dewar and Stringer) laid a first-class trail along past Talmna Park where they cut into the lupins ami across Die sand hills to Lawyer’s then along the top of the cliffs for a long the water’s edge as far as possible, and (lien along the too of the cliffs for a long wav until it branched off nr) towards Highcliff. Passing through Iligholiff the paper was followed round the r 'airn and from there down, round the lagoon, and along the road to Talmna Park where n fast rim home was made, in which Bibhv, Rolfe, Gale, and Boddy showed up prominently.
