It will be remembered that after the scullini? championship race between D*rcy Hadfield and Dick Amsl, the latter suggested that a handicap race might be held in which the champion and all professional scullers might participate. *aid that if such could be arranged he would himself compete. It now seems possible that true race vnu come off on the Wanganui River, Probably on the Saturday after the Hadfield-Paddon race. There is every reason to believe that a handicap race would draw an. entry, as apart from the two championship contestants (Hadfield and Paddon). it is practically certain that W. Webb, E. Larsen, Casey, Hannan, Archie Sharpe, and Dick Arnst would compete, and perhaps R. Paddon and Fogwell would also have a cut, as well as others. This would make one of tho most interesting sculling races that has ever taken place on the Wanganui River. LAWN TENNIS. THE DAVIS CUP. SYDNEY. March 27.
