ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A FARMER’S DEATH. (Per United ’Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., March 26. William John Port, aged 50, a farmer at Awahuri, who was removed to Palmerston North Hospital an Friday evening with a bullet wound in his head, died early this morning. He was found lying on the floor of a wharo near his house. Deceased had been to Feilding during the day, and appeared to be in his usual state of health. There was no necessity for an inquiry into the death of Edward Richard Brewer, who died while being taken to the Hospital on Friday night, as the doctor who had been attending him gave a certificate as to the cause of his death.
