“OLD FOLKS AT HOME”

In connection with the Methodist Church centenary telebraflons an “old folks at home’’ was held in the Port Chalmers Cburofr on AVednoeday afternoon. Some of those present, had been connected with the church and the Port for over half a century, and gave reminiscences of the early sixties. The Ladies’ Guild entertained the company to a dainty afternoon tea, and gave to each’ lady a beautiful bouquet, and to each gentleman a butt.onHole. ivjrs AVoieey, who arrived at AV’aikoualti in 1840, was the oldest person present, and was asked to cut the centenary birthday cake. The meeting was bright and. happy, and the old people spent an enjoyable time.
