Press Association—By Telegraph— Copjrfyb% CAPETOWN, March 23. ’ The Minister of Defence, in the thanking the last of the burgher commandos to leave the Rand, paid a tribute to wonderful mobilisation. He said ♦■bet the trouble was not a racial dispate, bat a deep-seated revolutionary business, started and encouraged by people who painted their own country red and destroyed their own country, where life and property were not worth sixpence. They had come to pillage this country. Referring to recent events, he said that he did not dream that 10,000 men would march from anywhere and everywhere, not 1 questioning why, hsjt only prepared, to do their duty.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
