NAVY DEPARTMENT’S THREAT. PrM* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, March 23. It is learned that the Naval Department threatened to reduce the Navy to 12 battleships, which is six fewer than tho number allotted to the United States under the Washington agreement, in case Congress passed the Bill reducing the Navy personnel to 65,000 men.—A. and N-Z.
