ASTRONOMICAL NOTES FOR FEBRUARY.

THE SUN. The Sun’s path for the month of February will be through the constellations of Caprioornus and Aquarius, in R. A. . from 20.57.19 to 22.42.53 and in south declination from 17.14.10 to 8.8.59. It will be in longi-' tude from 311.52.4 to 339.7.42. THE MOON. The phasee of the Moon will be as fcl ' low: First quarter sth 4.22 <um. Full moon 12th 0.47 p.ra; Last quarter 19th 5.48 a*.m. > New moon ... ... ... 27(h 6.18 a.m. Perigee 12th 10.30 pim. Apogee 27th 2.18 am. THE PLANETS. Mercury will be in R.A. from 22.6.31 us 21.12.19 and in south dedination from 10.42.37 to 14.25.20. It will be in perihelion on the 2nd, and will be stationary, on the 4th, and on, the 26th. It will be att its, greatest heliocentric latitude north on the 12th, and will be in conjunction with the Moon on the 24th. Venus will bo in R.A. from 20.51.0 te 23.2.34 and in south declination from 18.50.18, to 7.41.54. It will be in aphelion 'on the 2nd, and in superior conjunction •with the Sun on the Bth. It will be at its greatest Hel. Lab, south on the 25th, and m conjunction with the Moon on the 26th, Mars will bo in R.A. from 15.16.27 to 16.12.22 and in south declination from 16.52.20 to 20.11.8. It will be in conjunction with the Moan on the 18th, anid do. quadrature to the San on the 19th. Jugher will be in R.A. from 13.11.54 to 13.8.20 and in south declination from 6.4.46 to 5.35.59. It will be stationary on the 3rd, at its greatest Hel. Lab north on the 3rd, and in conjunction with the Moon . on the 15lh. J .Saturn will be in R.A. from 12.31.6 to 4 tui.2u.33 and in south, declination from I 0.39.12 to 0.3.14 It will bo in with the Moon on the 14th.
