The outlook for cattlemen who nave large numbers ready to kill as the result of the good season was gloomy. He explained that the official report explaining why Argentine meat was sold at higher rates in London than Australian meat stated that the Argentine cattle are killed when they are. two years old, and Australian when they are four years old. The former, therefore, were of better marketable quality., The Argentine cattle were fatter, and carried a larger proportion of flesh.
