At a meeting of the North Canterbury Executive of , the Farmers’ Union the following resolution was carried without dissent :—“ That this executive notes with pleasure the progress that has been made towards a compulsory pool of exportable meat, and also notes with satisfaction that the producers will have a majority on the Pool Board. This executive urges expedition in its initiation, and emphasises the vital importaitee of the Pool Board being absolutely independent of State guarantee.”
