LORD FORREST MEMORIAL. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 25. The Lord Forrest Memorial Fund has been closed at £6OO. The committee has decided that the memorial should take the form of a throne for a prelate of the Order of St. Michael and St. George, to be placed in the chapel of the order in St. Paul’s. Lord Denman reported that the Dean and Chapter were willing, and the cathedral architect will carry out the work.—A. and N.Z. Cable. DEMAND FOR REDUCED POSTAL BATES. LONDON, January 25. A conference of the Association of British Chambers of Commerce has been convened for February 3 to urge the demand for a reduction in the postal rates. —The Times.
