MR ALEXANDER WATSON’S FAREWELL.

I Mr Alexander Watson has been meeting i with his customary success in Oamaru, where the Municipal Opera House has been quite crowded, the whole of the dress circle being sold out before Mr Watson’s arrival for his recitals in that city. He will leave Oamaru for Dunedin by the first train tin’s morning, and in Burns Hall to-night givo the first of his two extra recitals. Fresh selections from tho prose and verso of Budyard Kipling will provide the faro of this evening’s entertainment, which comprises, for tho first time in Dunedin. “The Smuggler’s Song” and tho second part of “My Lord, the Elephant.” Tho other items will include the “Ballad of the Clampherdown,” “Gunga Din,” “Fuzzy Wuzzy,” and “Recessional. To-morrow evening. Mr Watson’s farewell to Dunedin, will be a popular miscellaneous programme including selections from Barrie, Aytoun. Scott, MacUay, Dickens, Belloc, and Mark Twain. •
