SHORTHORN CATTLE
BREEDERS’ ASSOCIATION MEETING. (Tbb United Pkess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 10. At the animal meeting of the New Zealand Shorthorn Cattle Bleeders’ Association the name was changed to Shorthorn Society of New Zealand._ The following office/? were elected: —President, Mr R. E. Alexander (Lincoln); vice-president, Mr A. Hunter (Hawora) ; council—Messrs W, G. Park (To Awanmlii). G. Stnddart (Lincoln). R. Millar (Whangarci), and J. A. Johnstone (Dunedin). The award of 14 shields for the champion hulls during the coining season was allot led to the following shows: —Hamilton, Mnnawatu, Carterton, Gishorne, Whangarci. Napier.' Wanganui. Christchurch, Ellesmere, Dunedin, Invercargill, Timaru, Ashburton, and Gore.
