ROSA ALBA FAREWELL
Miss Rosa Alba, who as a vocalist has created a wonderful series of sensations everywhere in the dominions, will give her farewell concerts this evening and on Saturday. No artist came with less boom than this young lyric soprano. Her professional name, Kosa Alba, means “The White Rose.” She believes in purity of life, of tone, of musical ambition, and aims at giving joy to all. The programmes are magnificent, and include many new items. Encores will include “The Angels’ Floor,” written by Mr Chas. *A. Martin, of this city., to words by Miss Eva Campbell, a clever young author, also of Dunedin. The box plan is at the Bristol, and 2s fid tickets are on solo at Begg’s. Mr J. Stewart (flautist) has decided to support Miss Alba, making it possible for her to sing “Chamiant Oiseau” with flute obbligato. This number created a sensation in Auckland. Messrs W. Gemmell and Chas. A. Martin will support with fine items.
