THE SANDERS CUP. THE TEST RACES ARRANGED. Mr A. C. Hanlon (president' of the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Club) has received advice from Auckland that five test races have been arranged between the 14-footers Iron Duke (Lord Jellicoe’s vessel, representing Auckland) and Heather (Mr W. J. P. McCulloch’s craft, representing Otago). The winner of these five testa or a majority of them will annex the Sanders Cup. The first race will be sailed on Thursday next, March 24; the second on Friday, March 25; the third on Saturday, the 26th; the fourth on Monday, the 28th; and the last on Tuesday. Mr Hanlon has been further advised from Auckland of the safe, arrival of the Heather and her crew. The Otago men are satisfied that the arrangements for the match have been most capably made by the Auckland Yacht Squadron. The Otago men will be entertained at dinner on Tuesday evening by Auckland yachtsmen. Mr J. M‘D. Stevenson (Mayor of Port Chalmers) and Mr J.. Morgan left for Auckland yesterday, and will be followed on Tuesday by Mr W. Begg (Mayor of the City). Mr H. Moller (Mayor of West Harbour, the home port *of the Heather), Messrs A. O. Hanlon, H. Nees, W. R. Waters, and others.
