FAMOUS LONDON ACTRESS
Every “ Digger ” knows the name of Elsie Janis, and leave in “ Blighty ” _ was not complete without at least one visit to the show where the brilliant musical comedy girl was delighting packed houses nightly. Everybody who knows anything of the modern stage, knows that Elsie Janis is the most successful girl behind the footlights in both London and New York. Elsie Janis makes her first New Zealand appearance in a special Solzniok production, “ The Imp,” and the picture has been especially written and produced to reveal the remarkable versatility of the “ star.” There is comedy in ,the picture, there is tense drama, there is a poignant pathos and vivid character, and ,of course, there is - splendid acting amid the perfect settings and scenes for which Selznick has already become famous. The fourth episode of “The Moonriders.” entitled “Vultures of the Hill,” said to be' the most thrilling of the series to date, will also be shown in conjunction with a new Christie comedy “Here Comes the Groom,” 'and a new Gazette.
