BALBB BY AUCTION. TUESDAY. 22nd MARCH. At 10.45 a.m. At Balclutha Soleyards. SALE BY~AUCTION Of Dr TRUBY KING’S PROPERTY. At Tahokopa. WRIGHT, STEPHENSON, & CO. (LIMITED) have received instructions from Dr F, Truby King to offer for sale by public auction, as above, the whole of his Property, situated at Tahakopa, in the following LOTS:— Lot I.—Township Farm, comprising 186 acres 2 roods 0 poles (more or less) Freehold, adjoining the township of Tahakopa. This farm is mainly rich alluvial deposit, partly in frass and clovers, partly in crop, and partly t for immediate ploughing. During the last 12 months about % mile and a-half of drains have been made through deep, strong rush and Maori-head ground, which will come into immediate profit. Only enough bush has been kept for shelter. Connected with this farm are about 27 acres of rich river reserves, making the total area available over 213 acres. Lot 2.—Lauriston Farm, comprising 182 acres 3 roods (more or lees) Freehold. About the centre of this block stands the Railhead Co-operative Dairy Factory. The farm comprises rich river flats and cleared bush land, in crop or laid down with grass and clover, also standing bush. Bnilcnngs include well-equipped Dwelling-house, ample stabling, barn, implement shed, milking shed, and extensive complete up-to-date piggeries, etc. River reserves of about 6 acres bring the available total up to about 189 acr6s. Lot 3. —Homestead Farm, 567 acres —viz., 264- acres (more or less) Freehold, with grazing right over Bush Reserve of 297 acres 1 rood 19 poles. About 330 acres of bush have been burned and sown down in grass and clover during the last 15 months. About a third of the whole 1200 • acres Freehold is still in timber-bearing standing bush. Over this ground the Launston_ Timber Company has timber rights. The timber is being cut out rapidly, and it is expected that only a small balance will' remain not out at the end of two years. Each purchaser is hereby notified that should any area of timber remain on his property after 22nd March, 1923, over which the Lauriston Timber Company wishes to exercise its rights, the vendor will pay to such purchaser ten shillings per acre per annum on the diminishing balance. The vendor is at present getting some bush cleared without charge and with an allowance of 30s per acre for grass seed given in. No timber rights exist over Lots 1 and 6. The ewes ore in splendid order—big, very well bred, ond true to type. . Mr Murdoch’s entry is quite up to his usual standard. In his eflieep are combined all the best characteristics of the breed.
