FEDERAL POLITICS. CENSURE MOTION DEFEATED. Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright. MELBOURNE, October 23. The censure motion was defeated in the Federal House of Representatives by 40 to 18. Mr Gregory's amendment was carried, the division being the same. Y.M.C.A. CONVENTION. SYDNEY, October 23. The Young Men's Christian Association Convention has ended. Messrs J. 1. Rovds (Cliristchurch) and W. H. George (Wellington) were elected to represent New Zealand on the National Council. Resolutions wero adopted commendatory of the success of the association's work in Australia, and New Zealand industrial centres, and in favour of assisting the Governments in immigration matters. FIRE AT GLEIJE. COACHBUILDING FACTORY DESTROYED. SYDNEY. October 23. Oldham's coachbuilding factorv at Glebe was almost totally destroyed by" fire. The damage is estimated at £50,000.
