He was committed for '■trial. m PAIxMERSTON N., September 24. Thomas Henry Davidson, charged that he did commit manslaughter on September 6 by causinff the death of Robert Dudley Worsfold, was remanded till October i Bail was granted. • WAIROA, September 24. There was a lengthy conference between the Wairoa Power Board and Messrs Hay and Vickerman. At its dose the board decided to borrow £100,000 to harness the WaikjKremoona, £40,000 for a transmission line and head works to Wairoa, and £60,000 for subsequent reticulation in the main parts of tho county. This is tho greatest loan proposal ever made at Wairoa.
