Sidoy (Dunodin South) asked tho Prime Minister this afternoon whether he purposed to jusk. tho llouso to sit on that day. Mr Massey said that if they were engaged in celebrating the arrival of tho GovernorGonorul they would not be asked to sit on Monday owning. So fur as ho could see, however, there was little chance of his arriving beforo dark on Monday, owing to tho boat meeting heavy westerly weather. Those who were in a position to' know best said that tho boat could not be here before dark. Dr Tlmckor (Christchurch East): Are you going to have any stoppage of work if ho arrives on tho Monday? Mr Massey: If ho gels here on Tuesday, as I am beginning to think he will, I will n«k tho 11 on so not to sit on Tuesday .afternoon. Dr Thacker: What about tho peoplo in the city? Mr Massey: That, is a mat tor for iho Mayor. Dominion Day. ho added, was not to be observed as a closo holiday. Tho position was uncertain .until it was known ivhen tho boat would arrive. CORINTHIC DELAYED,
(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 23. TJie captain of tho Corinlhic, which is bringing Lord and Lady Jellicoo to New Zealand, sent a wireless message at noon yesterday that tho vessel was meeting with very heavy weather, with high seas, and that unless the conditions improved she would be unable to reach Wellington on Monday (Dominion Day). W 7 hen the message was sent out the ship was 1450 miles off tho Now Zealand coast.
