KING'S THEATRE
Moat of the motion pictures at the present timo come from tho United States, and some of them at least have a flavour that doubtless suits the American palate, but is not so much to the ta«to of the public in tho dominions. The management of tho King's Thoatro has been fortunate in securing a. produotion ontirely British. It is a domestic drama entitled "Broken Threads, ' and, apart from the interest of the story, presents to the spectators a re-production of charming Devon econery. It is tho unfolding of a love etory, well told, and tho fact that the author (Henry Edwards) fills tho rolo of tho hero and Ghrissie White that of the heroine, is an assurance that the acting in tho leading parts does not lag. Tho acting throughout is also very capable; and quit© in keeping , with the story, which _s admirably filmed. As usual, there is an oducationol film, and tho other supports aro good—a Chrietio comedy ("Does Your Sweetheart Flirt?"), a Co-operative Weekly Gazette, and "Adaptation."
