A demonstration occurred at Spandau, where, five persons wero wounded, and gravo unrest prevails elsewhere in Germany. Riots led to street fighting in Uromen. Attempts to shoot General Vorbech at Stargard (in Poincrania) resulted in tho arrest of the would-be assassin. DUTCH PRO-GERMANISM. LONDON, September 8. (Received Sept. 9, at 9.30 p.m.) The Trazosmontea discharged 1500 German prisoners at Rotterdam. There was a clean bill of health on the voyage, with no _ influenza. Intense anti-British and anti-Australian feeling was displayed, but an incipient insubordination was stopped with strong hands. Tho men attempted a hunger strike, but it lasted only four days. The Dutch authorities carried out the transfer without delay, and a hot meal was awaiting the Germans on disembarking. The prisoners were quickly despatched to Germany in two special trains. A party of "Diggers" climbed the masts sang "Australia Will Bβ There," and tho disembarked men retorted, crying out: "So will tho Germans." Australian officers and men on the Trazosmontes who visited Rotterdam are convinced that Holland is strongly proGerman.—A. and'N.Z. Cable.
