THE. DOMINION'S FINANCES. PBOPOSED TRAINING CAMPS, (Pan Umitbd Pksos Asoociatioh.) ' CSRISTCHUBCtI, June 22. In the course of an interview Sir James Allen said he ■ thought the newspapers had exaggerated the recent statement attributed to Mr Myera regarding- the social and financial /position of New Zealand. "I don't think Mr Myers suggested that the.finances of the country axe in a serious difficulty, because they are not," declared Sir James Allen. . Regarding the criticism of Cadet camps by the Council of Churches, Sir James Allen slid he had asked for an inquiry concerriing the allegations about the recent High School Senior Cadets' camp. He hoped ihe proposed four months' training camps would i.-> instituted, for the sake of the citizens themselves, and for tho safe of the discipline in morals and physique. He unhesitatingly said tho evil was not in camp bat out of it.
