FOOTBALL.
RUGBY. To-day's matches should provide some interesting football. At Carisbrook the match Kaikorai v. Southern should prove a close contort. Both teams possess dashing forward divisions, though Kaikorai is somewhat stronger than Southern. The Kaikorai backs havo shown excellent form in their previous engagements. The Union-Zingari match should also be well worth witnessing, and should prove a close finish. Tho Port 'Chal-mers-Alhambra match on the North.Ground should bo a good game, and at Monteoillo JJunedm will meet Pirates. ASSOCIATION. in connection with the Association Football Cup competition arc now awaited with special interest. Mornington who have been steadily making good after a poor start, will meet Old Boys at CullinoPa,rk, and, whatever the issue, keen si>ort should reward the onlookers. The defeat of Southern is vital to the chances of all other aspirants for cup honours, and this difficult task will be essayed by Grcon Island at the Oval. Northern and Christian Bros, should provide an interesting game at the Gardens
