At the adjourned monthly meeting of the Mosgiel District High School Committee Mr A. Cameron presided. The Education Board advised that it was the duty of tho committee to attend to the disinfecting of the interior of school buildings. The board would provide suitable seats for outdoor work for 24- pupils of the infant department as soon as convenient. Accounts amounting to £14- 14e were passed for payment. The secretary was instructed to thank the retiring janitor ' for the manner in which the duties had been fulfilled. Messrs Logan and Williamson were appointed a sub-committee, to arrange for a supply of niaijerial for topdlressing the school asphalt. A discussion arose on the matter of disinfecting the school during the holidays. V ar ious methods were mentioned, and it was decided to write to the board for advice. The members were of opinion that no ordinary method of disinfection would meet the case, but that every care should be taken to make the rooms absolutely free from infection before pupils were admitted to them again.
