BUTTER AND CHEESE

SALE COMPLETED. (Pbb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 27. The Dominion Butter and Cheese Committee received a cablegram from London this morning stating that the sale of the dominion butter and chcese output to tftc Imperial authorities has been completed. The price of cheese is 101 d per lb, and of butter 181s per cwt. This completes a deal held up for some months. The usual formal ratification by tho Treasury is expected immediately.

A Press Association mossage from London states that the Government has purchased New Zealand's butter output for two seasons at 181s (f.0.b.). The price at which the output of cheese has been sold represents an increase of Jd per lb, while the price paid for butter is about 6s or 7s per cwt higher ' than tho previous rate. Payment will be made after tho produce has been in store for two months instead of threo months as hitherto.
