PLAZA THEATRE
■ A strong bid for popular favour is made _ by the new programme at the Plaza Theatre. , "North of 52" is the chief picture, and as ' a drama of the big North-west is in a class . of its own. Roaring Bill is portrayed by 3 Dustin Farnum, and Winifred Kingston , plays the part of the city stenographer, waose path crosses that of Roaring Bill. Tho latter falls in love with tho girl, but she refuses to have anything to do with him, as she believes him to be a murderer. So Bill takes the law into his own hands and carries the girl away to a lonely hut. Trouble eventuates, but—see the picture; it's worth while. The SunslhinD comedy, " Son of a Gun," and an interesting topical are included in a good list. During the screenings Professor E. R. Martin, coloured American basso, contributed songs, which wero well received.
