Messrs Dalgety and Co. report :—Oats: All grades continue to be strongly inquired for, but very little business is passing, owing to tlie paucity of offerings. Seed lines have been moving o-ff freely, and stocks in etoree are light. Feed lines are meeting with ready sale on arrival. Nominal values are- Milling, 5s 3d; best feed, 5s to 5s 2d; medium to good, 4s 9d to 5s pei bushel, sacks extra. Wheat: Practically nothing offering. Potatoes: Moderate consignments have been cominp forward during the past week. Choice freehly picked samples are in mest demand Medium quality and lines requiring pic'- ; "• are not readily quitted. Best/freehly-piok'ed tables, £11 10s to £12 10s; medium to good, £9 to £10 10s per ton, eacke in. Chaff: Consignments of late have not been heavy, and all coming forward i 3 meeting wi h ready Bale. Shippers have been operating freely, in addition to local feeders. Al.hough choice quality is in most demand, medium quality and lower grades have been receiving more attention. Choice, up to £8 10s; prime heavy, £8 to £8 ss; fair to good, £7 10a to £7 15s; medium quality, £6 to £7 per ton, sacks extra.

The keen demand reported last -week still exists for all classes of oats, and any consignments coining forward are easily placed at satisfactory prices. Prime milling, 5s 2d to 5s 3d; good to best feed, S3 to 5s 23; inferior to medium, 4s 7d to 4s lid per bushel, sacks "Wheat:' Both milling quality and fowlwh-eat are in shore supply, and meet with strong demand. Potatoes: There isa moderate demand, whioh is being supplied chiefly with consignments of C&nterbury potatoes. Local inquiries are confined chiefly to prime table sorts, which con'mue to move off at quotations. Lower grades have not eo much attention, and are more

difficult to deal with. Best table potatoes, £11 103 to £12 10s; medium to good, £9 to £11; others, £7 10a to £8 10a pa ton, sacks included. Chaff: Prime oiiten sheaf meets with strong; inquiry, both from shippers and local buyers. The market is not over eupplied, and all consignments coming forward arc sure of speedy clearance. Best oaten sheaf, £8 to £8 os; choice, to £8 10s; medium to good, £6 10s to £7 103; light and discoloured, £5 10s to £6 5a por ton, bags extra. PROPERTY SALE. Messrs Alex. Harris and Co. offered for sale by auction at their rooms yesterday a freehold property situated at 112 Oxford street, South Bunedin. The vendors wero fcho trustees in the estate of Maria Arundol, and the property consisted of a bnc-roomed cottage and section. Mrs J. Daly was the buyer at £92 10a.
