As a result of a conference between the South Island Dairy Association and the Lactory Managers' Union it was agreed tnat the present rates of pay stand, but tho war bonus of 10 per cent, be increased to 15 per cent, for grades 1 to 5. and to 20 per cent, for grades 6 to 10. The wages range from £402 for factories making over 500 tons to £4- per week under 30 tons, lne agreement, which has to be made into an award, has a currency of three years, or six months after peace is declared, wluchever happens first.
