(Received Sept. 22, at 11.40 p.m.) The Air Ministry reports: Last night we dropped 17 tons of bombs in a successful attack on works at Mannheim, wharves and factories westward of Karlsruhe, blast furnaces at Burbach, and' aerodromes at Boulay, Frescaty, and Morhange. A large fire broke out at Karlsruhe, and good bursts were observed at Mannheim. We directly hit hangars at Frescaty and 7 Morhange, and shot down one hostile machine.
