PRINCESS THEATRE
Tho final performances of " Tho Candy Ship" by _AL Bruce and His Rosebuds, coupled with an excellent vaudeville bill, drew very large audiences to the Princess Theatre on Saturday afternoon and evening. 3
For this evening's new programme Mr Bruce and his company will present a new revye, "Two Peas Ifi a Pod," which is receiving its first performance in Australasia. The setting is the hall and a bed room in an hotel, the latter occupied by an inveterate hypochondriac, who is for ever making his will and calling in tho doctor. Inmates of tho hotel aro a troupe o£ stranded actors, and much of tho comedy arises from the "sot" all tho females make at'the elderly invalid. Mr Briico returns to his popular "tramp" impersonation, and Mr Raymond is his fellow hobo on tho roads, the pair together making a number of very funny situations. Mr Wallace is the. elderly invalid, Miss Morgan the prima donna of the troupe, and Miss Stagpoole the 'soubrette. It is said to be tho most genuinely funny piece in the company's repertoire. On the vaudeville sido two new acts are announced:—Reggiardo, a very clever novelty juggling act, popular on the circuit some years ago; and the Gillerts (eccentrio comedians). Bessio Lester, Murfaync, and the Farrows will offer new entertainments.
