Gunson (Mayor ol Auckland), Mrs Guiison (Mayoress). Members 01 the Fifth Class, or Members of the Order. —Mr A'. Lorntr (member of the executive of the Aucldand l J atrk>tie Association and chairman ot the Claims Board ol tiio association], Mr H. J, JJ, Uobertson (lion, secretary of the Joint Committee of the Bntisli Red Cross Society and the Order oi St. Joim), Mr Douglas W. Jack. (Whangarcy), Mr Manning (Hamilton), Miss Edith Fenton (Sanatorium, Rotorua), Mrs Margaret Harding (Mangawhare, Dargiiville), Mrs Mary 11. Kirkpatrick (Kawakawa). \ The budge of the Fourth Class was conferred on Miss Mary Downie Stewart, of Dunedin, who is on a visit- hero. The emblem of the Fifth Class was handed to Mr 0. S. Ellis, son of the late Mr J. W. Ellis, of Hamilton, who died since the decoration was conferred. The Order conferred on Mis L. Blackwood, nee Spedding, will be forwarded to the Governor-General of Canada, Mrs Blackwood being now resident there. All tho recipients havo been prominent in patriotic work. His Excellency also presented two medals to the next-of-kin of' two soldiers of tho New Zealand Expeditionary Forces, the soldiers having died since the medals wore awarded. Tho£ Military Cross was handed to Mrs J. llally. Cambridge, mother of tho late Second Lieutenant C. Hally, and tho D.C.M. was handed to Mrs S. Bullock, Auckland, mother of tho late Corporal W \Y. Bullock.
