No statement is available concerning the result of the deliberations of the Cabinet on the demands of the oonferenoe of Second Division Leagues. The Minister of Defence intends to make a statement tomorrow. Replying to a question to-day. Sir James Allen said thero was no possibility of the demand for the extra 3s a day separation allowance being granted. He was less emphatic about the requests regarding better provision for repatriation. The Minister added:—"l am in entire sympathy with the demand generally, but I do not say the sehemo submitted is a workable one. That is a matter which has yet to bo thoroughly inquired into. I look upon the repatriation proposals as more practicable than those regarding separation allowances. We shall make an earnest endeavour to improve the present repatriation schcme, which is not a bad one so far as it goes."
