Light samples are not receiving the same attention, the only outlet for these being local feed requirements, which is not extensive. Dnns and other seed varieties are in strong demand. Prime milling, 4s 4d to 4s sd; good to best feed 4s 2d to 4s 3d; light and inferior Ss 6d to 4a per bushel, sacks extra. Wheat: All lines of milling quality are readily taken bv millers at Government rates. Fowl wheat is in short supply, and meets ready sale on arrival Potatoes: The market has been fully supplied of late with consignments from Canterbury and northern districts, the bulk of which are more or •less faulty. For these the demand is verv slack.
