The following are the official weather summary •nd forecast:—"The atmospherio pressure has inor eased, and strong but decreasing west and north-west winds have prevailed. The weather has improved since yesterday but is still unsettled in the west coast and southernmost districts, and conditions are somewhat threatening northwards of the dominion. Present indications are tor moderate to strong southerly winds generally, backing to easterly northwards of Kawlria ana East Oape. Oloudy and unsettled weather, with rain, may be expected in the northern districts, and oold, changeable conditions, with scattered showers elsewhere. The barometer has a rising tendency, but will be unsteady in the J«r north." SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. WESTPOBT, Hay 27.—Sailed: Poheraa (11.15 pjm), lor Port Chalmers. The John, instead of coming south to Dunedin this week, will load at Oamaru and Timaru for northern ports. Storm is due at Dunedin to-morrow, and will probably be despatched the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wanganui. The Kittawa put into Westport yesterday for bunker coal. She will load at Greymouth for Bluff and Dunedin. The Corinna will leave Nelson to-day for New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Nelson, and New Plymouth. The Te Anau, which reached Auckland on Saturday from Bluff, will sail on Wednesday for Wellington, Bluff, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The Monowmi was to leave Wellington yesterday for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. She i i?" 1 , on Frida y lor Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The auxiliary eohooner Gisborne will be taken for a. trial run down the harbonr this morning, •JQd is expected to leave Dunedin to-morrow for Wellington, where she will load a return cargo lor Dunedin.
