POSTERS AND ADVERTISEMENTS. DEMAND FOR CENSORSHIP. (Pss United Pbess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 24. Tho dominion conference of the Church of England Men's Society passed the following resolution:—"That this conference protests against the publication of unseemly and suggestive posteis and advertisements in connection with picture shows, and that the Wellington Diocesan Council be asked to arrange a deputation to wait on the Minister of Internal Affairs with a view to bring.ng them under a proper censorship." In the course of the discussion, Bishop Julius said that unless the community was exceedingly vigilant things would go from bad to worse in this matter. He did not think it was a bit of use sending a written protest to tho Government at present, as Ministers were very busy, and it would only bo. cast into the waste paper basket.
