"POLLY OF THE CIRCUS."

One of tbo wildest stampedes ever witnessed occurred, it is said, when a mammoth circus in America oaugiit fire and a mad scramble for safety ensued.. The huge menagerie of wild animals, from elephants downward, got loose and mingled with the flying- audience. And all to produce a moving picture. This startling scene is the climax: of "Polly of the Circus," the Goldwyn photo-spectacle, which will be shown at the Octagon and King Edward Theatres, commencing at tho matinee to-morrow. Mae Marsh, who will be remembered as the heroine of "Intolerance," has tho title role in this newest triumph of tho silent art. As the beautiful though wayward circus girl, who is transformed under the guidance of a young minister to an adorable and tender young woman, she is said to be well worthy of the title which a famous American critic has given her—" The Bernhardt of the Screen." Photographically, " Polly of. tho Circus" is claimed to be a greater artistic success than the last Goldwyn, " The Auction Block." The plan is now filling at the Bristol.
