'I he Times Dublin correspondent says that Monti ay's Mansion House meeting disclosed strained relations between the Nationalists and Sinn Feiners, almost reaching breaking point. Publication of the proof that the Sinn Fein intrigued with Germany would have an immediate beneficial effect on Nationalist opinion throughout Ireland. REASON FOR THE ARRESTS. DILLON AWAITS EVIDENCE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, May 22. The Irish situation is still obscure, pending the production of the Government's evidence of the pro-German plot. Satisfactory evidence is likely to detach a majority of the NationaJists from the Sinn Feiners. Mr Dillon, M.P., declares that the Government's action is unprecedented. He will await the statement of tho grounds for this action, but until then he lia6 no opinion to offer on the matter.
Ifc is understood that Nationalist M.P.'s intend to return to Westminster next week.
