RED CROSS KITCHEN
The long-felt want that the Red Gross kitchen has supplied is evidenced by the number of dishes that axe being made and sold daily. The most gratifying feature is that the early casual buyer lias now become a regular patron, and 'the orders of t. • past week have necessitated the staff being enlarged and the work being carried 0:1 for nine hours a day. On Wednesday and Thursday of next week the public are invited to compete in a cooking competition, particulars of which appear in the advertising colnmns. The staff of the " kitchen " will not compete, but, the members arc preparing an exhibition of goods; and, in conjunction with the competition and exhibition, the public can bo assured of a displav the equal of which haa probably been seen in Dunedin seldom befejft.
