MONTE CARNO. ANOTHER ENEMY ATTACK FATT.fi Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and Reuter. .uaNDON, May 19. Italian official: The enemy's third attempt on May 17 to recapture Monte Carno failed. Two columns, with machine guns and flame-throwers, strongly supported by artillery, attacked our positions. The attackers were caught under violent artillery and machine-gun fire, and compelled to retire in confusion, and we firmly hold the positions. We reoulsed numbers of attaciks on other points along the front.
