PRISONER RECAPTURED
(Pu t'KITJtD PTESB AS.SOCII.TIOW.) CHRISTCIIURCI&, May 18. Robert D. Warden, the prisoner who escaped from Panarua Prison on Monday, was arrested last night. When accosted by a sergeant of police he made no effort to cscapc, and was conveyed quietly to the cells. He was before che court tin's morning charged with escaping from custody, and also with breaking and entering a dwelling-house on Tuesday and stealing clothes and jewellery. On the application of the police a remand was granted till Wednesday.
