"Tho Girl Who Did Not Care" is still drawing crowded audiences to the Queen's Tho'atre, where it will bo supplemented this afternoon by a comedy, entitled ' Mabel's Married Life," featuring Charlie Chaplin and Mabel Normand. One of the most original dramas seen upon the local screen for some time is found in "The Clodhopper," a Triangle production to be screened at the Octagon and King Edward Theatres, commencing at the matinee this afternoon. Charles Ray is the "star," and his role is one that will make him a favourite. He is supported by Margery Wilson, who is the sweetheart to whom ho says good-bye when he goes off to tho city too seek his fortune. Charlie wandered off to the city in his best Sunday suit, and went looking, for work, eventually discovering a janitor's job. He went awkwardly in and found himself amongst tho rehearsal of a musical comedy that was going , flat. Somebody pushed him and he fell among 24 girls in a haystack. Then the director saw his opportunity and made him dance. The dance, christened "The Clodhop," became the rage of fashionable New York, and the youth's ' fortune' was made. The rest of the story Ms highly dramatic. A run sets in on the father's bank, and ho is facing ruin when Charlie turns up with his newly-got wealth. To-day, tho last opportunities of seeing Alice Brady in "The Ballet Girl," and an admirable selection of supporting pictures will be afforded at the Plaza Theatre. "Tho I Ballet Girl" is of absorbing interest, and Miss Brady as the heroine is seen at her best. "The Submarine" story is also advanced a further stage. Tho attendance at Everybody's Theatre ■was good last evening, and the programme presented was enjoyed. The chief attractions were "A Self-made Widow" and chaptor 15 of "The' Iron Claw." , The same pictures will Bo shown again to-day. COMPLIMENTARY CONCERT. A complimentary concert will be tendered to M. Paul iSaldaigne, tho operatic tenor, in the Burns Hall on Tuesday evening, November 20. ' On this occasion M. Baldaigne will bo supported by several leading artists, and in addition Mr Chas. Schijsky, the examiner of Trinity College, has very kindly consented to contribute to tho programme. Mr Schilsky's reputation as a violinist is already known to this city, as i.n a former, visit ho gave a recital, inchidpd in iho programme on that occasion being many famous violin works. Inquiries for reserves have already been received by the box office, and tho plans will open on Wednesday morning next. Those anxious of obtaining a good position are recommended to book early at the Bristol.
