The world's week of prayer for the Young men's and Young , Women's Christian Associations begins to-morrow. In 18 languages at least a stream of intercessory prayer and. praise will ascend. The Young Women's Christian Association, now numbering 670,000 throughout the world, has its he&cTquarters in London, and branches in 28 different countries. In England the Muniition Workers' Welfdro Department has established canteens, rest rooms, and hostels in a number of munition areas. An important development of this war-time work id the provision of rest and recreation rooms for the Women's Auxiliary Army, both in France aad in England.

The mooting of Enterprise Lodge, U.A.0.D., on Wednesday last was quite a gala night. The Grand Lodge (represented by the leading officers), the Royal Arch Chapter (in almost complete numbers), and officers and members from the lodges in Nos, 1 and 2 districts, even from Mosgiel and Port Chalmers, assembled to do honour to the first presentation of the RossStewart Challenge Shield. .This , liandsomo trophy for the best team in ritual work, had been won by Enterprise Lodge by ono point after an exciting contest. The presentation was made by G.V.P. Bro. C. W. Jacobson, the A.D. of the Enterprise team (Bro. A. Stewart) receiving the trophy for safe keeping for the year. AdVantago was token of the meeting to present to Bro. OUiver (Prido of Mornington Lodge), the E..A. insignia won by him in the threcchargo competition recently held, the duty being performed by Bro. Birt, G.T. Ono of the ploas'ng parts of the programme was tho presentation by the members of Enterprise Lodge of a handsome travelling case to P.D.P. Bro. M'Beath, who has coached so many teams of the lodge to victory. Bro. Stell (secretary of the .lodge) made th<? prespntation, and in .leknowlodging it, Bro. M'Boath announced his intention of still keeping up tho pressure and working as of old for his lodge and order. Instrumental music, song, and story enlhrened the proceedings.
