Anderson, who ha 3 Iwen reported wounded, is a son of Mt G. J. Anderson, M.P., Gore. He was employed for some years in the Bank of New Zealand, but relinquished this position to take up farming in the Waikato. He left with the Eighteenth Reinforcements. Mrs Torrance has just received advice that her son Jack was wounded in the calf (second occasion) and admitted to hospital on October 13. Her other son, Dick, has been severely wounded, and was admitted to a French hospital on October 5. Both sons h<we subsequently been admitted to the Walton-on-Thames Hospital. Mr Thomas Eraser, of Katea, received, word on Thursday of the death of his son, Private T. Fraser, who was killed in action on October 4. Private Frasar was born in Aberdeenshir© on August 6, 1539, and camo to New Zealand with his parents when 10 yeaTs of age. On the outbreak of war he made many attempts to enlist, but was rejected on account of his* a.?e. He sailed from Ne-w Zealand with t"he Nineteenth Reinforcements, and was acting as a stretcher-bearer when he met his death. At the Katea School, where he received paxt of his education, the flag- was flown half-mast on receipt of the sad news. Mrs M. Haorington, Ratanui, received word on Saturday that her only son, Private W. J. Harrington, had been admitted to hospital in France on! October 8, suffering from gunshot wounds in left arm and both legs, severe. Private Harrington left with tie Twentyfourth Reinforcements.
