WESTPORT UNIONISTS' DEMAND.

WBSTPORT, October 29. At a combined meeting of unions it was resolved as follows:—"That this combined meeting of members of Watcrsidors', General Labourers and Mechanics', A.S.R.S., and E.F. and C. Unions, Westport, protests against the continued increases in the cost of living, and demands that Parliament, before rising, shall make some sincere effort to reduce tho ever-increasing prices so as to enable workers to purchaso sufficient necessaries for themselves and their dependents."
